about the name
The name stems from an old tv commercial, popular in Australia in the 80's. This brief snippet of culture involved the quintessential items of Australian culture: a backpacker, some ants and an echidna named rex... the rest, as they say, is history.
The domain was first registered in 2012, during a moment of inspiration.
